Using texture with the Logo makes a world of difference to the feel and essence of the over all image. Some of my favorite textures in the world are of natural materials that have spent much of their lives under the elements. Old barn wood pelted by rain and snow. Rusted steel etched by the elements. Naturally eroding stone, and good ol' fashion dirt. They all have a raw, timeless, unquestioned quality. There is a history in the patina of such materials. There is a vibrancy in their present state. There is an energy in their future potential. Material choice and how those materials are used provide the pallet to shaping the atmospheric climate of spaces around us.Saturday, May 30, 2009
